Things to know before you vote
The Croatia train is a full day
Zagreb to Split runs about one direct day train in spring, and it takes close to 8 hours. Add the 6 hour Vienna to Ljubljana train and you spend two days of ten on trains.
Only the coast is warm
The 58 to 63°F range is for Split. Vienna and Lake Bled in late March feel more like Route 2, so pack the same warm layers.
It breaks the no flights rule
Dublin to Edinburgh is a flight in this plan. You can do it by ferry and train instead, but that eats most of a day.
The budget is already tight
Three of the four routes start at or over $4,000 by the pitch's own numbers. Route 2 is the only one with real room to spare.
The Aer Lingus nonstop is still running
Aer Lingus cut three US routes to Dublin in 2026, but Cleveland was not one of them. Check the March 2027 schedule when fares open.
